Here is another one that I like very much. Not trying to be funny, but again it is another one that benefits from being played quietly - I'm now playing it back at about three-quarters normal volume and it is sounding wonderfully upliftingly melancholy. Sorry to sound so positive about my own music, I know it's not the done thing to boast. But I wouldn't be here, doing this, if I wasn't enjoying it.

While I'm wading in these shallow waters I shall again mention the stats and announce that the number of followers I have continues its gentle descent. With each new email Bandcamp sends out saying "new release by SBJ" I averagely lose about half a follower. Oh I do wish I could release music and not have it announced to my poor already-overwhelmed followers. I'm not surprised that they/you can't take it any more.

Perhaps in future I shall continue to make my music as usual, but keep everything in drafts until, say, the end of the year, and then release all 356 albums in one huge lump on 31st of December. It would mean that my followers would get only one email per year. Very manageable. And of course when the email is clicked open and the recipient is faced with the pictures of hundreds of my album covers the automatic reaction will be to delete the thing instantly. To suddenly be faced with just how overwhelming things have become - that will be the lesson my music passes on. The pleasure I get from making it, and the relief you get from realising that you don't need it, or anything much else really.
