about

This might be a bit repetitive for some but it's one of my most favourite things I've ever done and nothing could ever be too repetitive for me, but the older I get the more I realise that I have less and less in common with everyone else - and oh the relief - if I like something then no one else will like it. I've been unemployable for years. I never really fit in. Again, oh the relief. I recommend it. It might be the secret of my relative cheerfulness - not treating everyone else like a crowd I have to be a part of, but instead a herd I'm looking at from a distance, like looking at a field full of bored cows with nothing to do but eat and fart and look at a screen (says Sonja, looking at a screen).

And I feel I hardly need to tell you where the photo was taken. But I don't want to be that arch, so I will - yes Worthing pier, the restaurant at the end - we went into it just to nose around but instantly felt a little (lot) underdressed. Next time we go to Worthing (tomorrow ?) we shall be in our best clobber. Last week they thought we'd come to clean the windows or something. Tomorrow we'll be sitting at the best table by the best window. See you there. Why not ?
