I can never write anything in the middle of the afternoon - music-making is much easier than writing and requires no talent whatsoever. This piece is dead simple. I tired to do it in the new version of Audacity. But all those new black vertical lines just clog everything up. Yes you can click them away.

But if you are a hyperminimalist then you are repeating things thousands of times and that is a lot of clicking. Impossible. This is why I am a luddite. All "progress" is a con. Someone thought it must be a good idea to have black lines everywhere - because it's new - and new means better. So after twenty minutes I uninstalled the new Audacity and installed the familiar version from 2006.

So much simpler. Simpler is always better. It is always more beautiful - more streamlined - lean and firm and without visible panty lines and knotty bra straps and creaky girdles and herring-bone corsets and flared trousers and being squeamish about fucking. Much of technology is simpler and more beautiful. MP3s are beautiful - streamlined and pure in their purpose. The ladies and even the men on the pavements are sexier than ever. This is like them - more beautiful more simple more minimal than ever before. I like this piece very much. It's just five things happening seamlessly.
