Today (Sunday) I was going to do a field recording of my time at the car boot sale where I took the photo you can see on the right. But the camera-recorder just picked up my footsteps going thru the long frosty grass. A very loud crunch crunch crunch and you can barely hear the barking dogs and old men selling oranges for ten pee each.

So then I was going to do a field recording of our back garden. But I don't have any slippers and could only plonk the camera out right by the back door. It just picked up the radio in the kitchen. Terry Wogan, if you are interested. But it seemed a bit dull - doing a field recording of the Terry Wogan Show. I am really not that kind of musician.

So in the end it was another run-thru of my famous first piano trio. I noticed during the first rehearsal that it started brilliant but gradually fell to pieces. I prefer music which builds up to its best bit. So I decided to arrange it in reverse. And this is what you can hear here.

Unfortunately it all got extremely loud right at the end, which I didn't want. But it is too late to do anything about it now. Maybe tomorrow there will be a third rehearsal. Maybe if the best bit was in the middle it would all be less awful.
