about

.

I worked my metaphorical testicles off on this track. But I kept it simple, and now wish I'd made it messier. It sounds terrific on cheap equipment. Really, the cheaper the better. Please don't be embarrassed to download it. I am still a little way from exceeding the 200 monthly limit.

My advice is to download it in the lowest possible bitrate. One byte per minute is about perfect. I am thinking of releasing it on Dictaphone micro-cassettes. That would be the perfect way to hear it. Especially if you don't have a Dictaphone. I gave a copy of my previous noise track to the man who did most of the shouting on it and he has complained that it has gaps in it where something has gone wrong. This is the kind of stupidity that will turn me into a committed noise musician.

I hope you like the photograph. It is a spider's web in our hen-house. They're everywhere. At night the spiders run along the perches and up the hens' legs and the hens don't even eat them. They just shiver and fluff up their feathers and go back to sleep. I've seen it - those huge grey blurred spiders in the torchlight, resting on the backs of the hens.

Next time I might go back and try to finish my piano trio. Counter-intuitively, "classical" music is a lot easier than noise. There is no such thing as bad classical music. No matter how terrible it is, someone will always say it is good. But hardly anyone will say that a piece of noise is any good. God almighty - this is a load of crap.
