WEDNESDAY 13 MARCH

This one's pleasant but dull - like someone you meet at a fairly formal party who says all the right things and doesn't impact on your memory at all - which is the personality I tend to project - finding conversation hard work and usually very tedious. In my recent efforts to expand my musical range I realise that there isn't anywhere I want to go.

Maybe dub techno or sounding a bit like Bvdub or Coppice Halifax. I suppose all the info about the necessary plug-ins is just a quick google-search away - and the work to achieve the desired result is just the normal workaday routine and really you could train monkeys to do it all and one day there will be a free music software program which automatically makes the music you want - we're halfway there when you can just press a keyboard key and sound like Glenn Gould.

One day making music will be as easy and pointless as doing crossword puzzles with the answers already filled in. Though I always avoid them, I miss challenge and difficulty and discipline and the things that filter off the passionate few from the lazy many. God alone knows there's no one lazier than me. Hear this and weep.
