SUNDAY 24 MARCH

Exactly a year ago a brief unusual fortnight of warmth ended and it started to rain and it hasn't stopped since. There are well established ponds with frogspawn happily hatching into their little black gatherings of tadpoles in places where there have never been puddles before..

People who were cheerful and outgoing have become skulking nervous depressive creatures. I love it. I love the company of depressives and moaners and people driven crazy by the weather - they put my own emptiness into perspective and make life even more cheerful for anyone who knows it's all just a joke. The rain is half the reason I have so much time on my hands that I've ended up on this mission to fill up all the Bandcamp vaults with hyperminimal music. Nothing can be done outdoors and it's horrible doing things indoors.

This one was done while listening to the first half of Any Answers yesterday afternoon. It's like Eno's "generative music" - launched slightly differently. I tried to upload it several times but the thing kept on crashing. The first time it happened I made the "mistake" of visiting the pirate bay - via a proxy of course - as needs must - only to read the comments under a couple of film download thingies - and BT immediately cut me off and the same thing happened a second time & it's a bit like North Korea, but the weather's even worse.

The "cover" photo is of the very first mini-roundabout in Britain and the world - UK didn't invent the big proper roundabout - that was either America or France - but it did invent the mini one - a source of great pride for us all on this horrible wet east-wind bitter Sunday.
